Sarah finds producing new work most satisfying.

She likes fostering the ‘creative baby’ from DEVELOPMENT through COMPLETION, no matter how long it takes.

Sarah began her journey into producing with David Deblinger, one of the founding members of the LAByrinth Theatre Company. David’s two-man show, Lucky Penny, follows a son’s journey through his father’s terminal illness. Sarah joined the production team as Associate Producer, while the play was in the late stages of development. During the show’s Off-Broadway run, the show received many accolades from the New York Times, Talkin Broadway and Club Social NYC.

Following the successful run of Lucky Penny, Sarah joined the Summer Shorts production team as Associate Producer. During her tenure with the festival, Sarah has read hundreds of plays each season and works closely with the artistic staff to discover the six best contenders for production. Sarah has helped produce new work by award-winning writers Sharr White, Nick Payne, Chris Bohjalian and Neil LaBute, along with up and coming playwrights Danielle Trzcinkski and Abby Rosebrock.

Following her tenure with Summer Shorts, Sarah was Producer at the DENIZEN Theatre in New Paltz, NY for two years, in which she produced a one-woman show, an audio play and various staged readings.

As a filmmaker, Sarah produced and co-wrote the short film The Soothing System with her longtime collaborators Erik Spink and Mari Meyer. The film is loosely inspired by the Edgar Allan Poe short story The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether. The film went on to receive multiple nominations, awards and official selections from the film festival circuit nationwide. Of note, The Soothing System won the Jury Award at the Female Filmmakers Fuse Film Festival, won Best Drama at the Mindfield Film Festival and was nominated for Best Screenplay at the Festival of Cinema NYC.

Last fall, Sarah launched her own multi-media production company - House of Cronk LLC. Her company is currently working on developing a portfolio of new podcasts. To inquire about collaborating or to see samples of her work, click here.
